Look, first of all, I'm pretty sure those "leaks" were confirmed fake so settle the fuck down.
And even if they weren't? Y'all still need to settle the fuck down because listen. Listen. I get being ride or die for Adam, okay? I do. I really do. I'm currently doing a second-to-final editing pass on like 15K words of fic set in a perfectly canon-compatible timeline where he's alive (crew, y'all knew exactly what you were doing when you made alternate realities canon, I'll give you that). But way too many of y'all are stomping your feet on tungle dot hell screaming about how if it's not Adam, you don't want ANYONE with Shiro and... no. No. Stop that. Don't do that. Please don't do that.

The only thing worse than a Bury Your Gays is a Bury Your Gays where the survivor stays single for the rest of the series.
I mean. Think about the message that sends when your surviving gay has to stay single. Please. Just fucking think about it for one goddamn minute. This is not a message we need right now. We need the exact goddamn opposite of that message.
Yeah, I love Adam and I am powerfully salty about the crew fucking him over in S7, and I am not entirely prepared to let them off the hook for that. I also want to believe that they learned something from that and want to make things better, and the best thing they could do aside from bringing Adam back somehow would be to give Shiro a new love interest and for that shit to be shown on screen for more than like three seconds for fuck's sake excuse me anyway
